The season runs from September to April 2009 and is played around the inner suburbs of Melbourne Australia.
Competition matches are played on Thursdays at 12:00pm and run for about 1 hour with a lite afternoon tea supplied by the host club.

The Trugo 'Pairs' competitions were played at the 'Brunswick Trugo Club' today. In the 'Pairs' competition each team selects two players that will compete against all the other teams in the VTA league. The team with the highest score on the day is the 'Pairs' competition winner for the season.
Perfect score (2 players x 2 ends x 3 sets x 4 rings ) = 48
John McMahon and Jack Coldrey from the 'Yarraville Trugo Club' took out the title with a score of 35.
The Trugo 'Fours' competitions were played at the 'Sandridge Trugo Club' today. In the 'Fours' competition each team selects fours players that will compete against all the other teams in the VTA league. The team with the highest score on the day is the 'Fours' competition winner for the season.
Perfect score (4 players x 2 ends x 3 sets x 4 rings ) = 96
The Trugo Consolation games were played at the 'Port Melbourne Trugo Club' between teams that did not make it into the top four. Due to the extreme temperatures 'Brunswick City' pulled out from the event leaving Ascot Vale, Eagles, South Melbourne and Yarraville to play it out.
The Australian Trugo Grand final will be played at the Yarraville Trugo Club in a playoff between Sandridge and Brunswick.
